We are honored to shine the light on our longest-term member. Miyoko joined Live Well in February 2018, and since then, her presence has brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to everyone around her.

Born on Lihue, Kauai, Miyoko graduated from Kawaihae High School before earning her teaching degree from the University of Hawai‘i, where she met her husband. Together, they shared more than 60 years of marriage, building a loving family and a life full of cherished memories. Miyoko dedicated over 30 years of her life to teaching at an elementary school, shaping generations of students with her knowledge and kindness.

Outside of her professional life, Miyoko has pursued a wide array of hobbies. She enjoys pottery, golf, gardening, and spending time caring for her family. Today, her legacy continues through her four children, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Miyoko will be turning 96 this November, and she still walks through our doors every day with a smile and her infectious giggle. She eagerly participates in all activities and takes every opportunity to socialize with fellow members, spreading positivity wherever she goes.

Miyoko Hashimoto exemplifies the spirit of Live Well—joyful, engaged, and always ready to make the day brighter for those around her. We are grateful for her continued presence and proud to celebrate her life, her contributions, and her boundless energy.
